प्रमाणतः प्रमेयासिद्धेः प्रमेयान्तरवत्प्रमाणानि॥
pramāṇataḥ prameyāsiddheḥ prameyāntaravatpramāṇāni.
If the means of knowledge (Pramāṇas) are to be proven by other means of knowledge, then they themselves become objects of knowledge (Prameya), requiring yet other means.
Logic tools are automatically true and don't need deep structural justification to prove their validity.
Nyāya demands that even its own tools of logic be ruthlessly cross-examined to verify their underlying mechanical accuracy.
