समानप्रसवात्मिका जातिः॥
samāna-prasavātmikā jātiḥ.
The Universal Genus (Jāti) is that whose essential nature is to produce a shared, uniform cognition across a multitude of separate individual instances.
Universal categories are just names or labels that humans invent arbitrarily with no basis in real physics.
Nyāya asserts that universals are objective structural real-world constraints; they are real, invariant laws of nature that govern how physical matter groups together.
